So as we pull the last of these comics out of inventory, let’s reflect….
How's this for hostile work environment?
Our artist was working for a large LARGE corporation when Luchadores in Space was created. So we asked him a few questions, to really get a feel for where this story came from…
Q: What made you decide to just pick up a pencil and draw a 22 pg comic one day?
A: *Laughs* It was just a goal, I guess. It seemed so difficult and an unobtainable success at a time in my life where I had little control of my career, and absolutely nothing going for me.
Q: Where’d the story come from?
A: Almost everything in this book represents my childhood. It’s where I grew up, it’s where I hung out…it’s things I saw my Dad do, as a husband and a father. It became about me as a father. I mean, I knew I was Dad..but, as the kids got older, I realized that they needed me to teach them to do more than dream. They needed to see their dad follow his dreams, too!
Q: So you’ve gone from a high paying, corporate job….to?
A: Having peanut butter sandwiches being my main meal. Hey…it’s not all bad. I’m happy..and so is my family. We’re not all cut out for corporate jobs. Unfortunately, that’s where the money is. But, as cliche as this may sound….I’m richer now, more than ever.

This is an example of our Posters, offered at customcomicshop.com. This little girl became interested in bedtime stories, after her Dad introduced her to comics. She reads all kinds of books, now…and they wanted to reward her for her accomplishments in a fun way.
